Carpenters apprentice

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in carpentry and construction while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. The Carpenter Apprentice will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry, including framing, trim work, and restoration projects. We do currently work on rotating schedule. With the employee becoming more knowledgeable and more efficient at what they do there are options to move to a more permanent position.

Duties

  • Assist skilled carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, and fixture installation tasks.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
  • Support restoration efforts including water damage restoration, mold remediation, and plastering.
  • Engage in woodworking projects such as cabinet installation, door hanging, and siding work.
  • Aid in roofing tasks and flooring installation including tile laying.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required for various construction tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment on the construction site.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of construction principles and practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety protocols on construction sites.
  • Experience or knowledge in carpentry-related fields such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or cabinetry is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the restoration industry or maintenance person services is advantageous.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods of time.
  • A positive attitude and ability to work well within a team setting. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
